2. Buildable land is limited, so demand stays high
Eglin’s reservation includes a massive weapons test-and-training range (supporting Eglin, AFSOC at Hurlburt, Duke Field’s 7th Special Forces Group, and EOD training) that has been military land for nearly 80 years and won’t be developed. With little room to build close in, the market stays competitive.
3. Rentals are scarce close to base
The closer you want to be to Eglin or Niceville, the harder rentals are to find. Move a little further out — toward Crestview, Navarre, or Fort Walton Beach — and your options open up.
4. Buying is often the smarter play
